Highlighted as series 200 in the Revised Codes of Good Practice, Management Control (MC) incorporates the Employment Equity element of the ‘Old Codes’. Although it does not fall within the three priority elements, it is a viable benchmark to decipher the day-today running and decision making structure of an organisation.
This element addresses ‘Black’ participation at management level. Included in the calculation are Members of the Board, Executive Directors and Executive Managers who are not Directors. Furthermore, it takes into account senior, middle and junior management, as well as measuring the employment of ‘Black’ people with disabilities.
