Did you know, the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2014, which measures gender equality on relative gaps between women and men across four key areas – namely; health, education, the economy and politics - places South Africa as one of the top 20 performing countries? South Africa is ranked 18th in the overall index, followed by Canada and the United States; out of an overall 136 countries surveyed. The top three performing African countries are Rwanda, ranked 7th, Burundi ranked 17th, and then South Africa.
